A little background information on this Rep. from Texas:

Colin Allred is a 4th generation Texan, and a former football player from Baylor University and then the NFL. After leaving the NFL he followed his true passion to become a civil rights attorney. He worked in the Obama administration and at HUD before returning to Texas to fight back on Texas’s restrictive voter suppression laws. He then flipped the district of an 11-term Republican incumbent to help take back the House in 2018. And now - he's going to defeat Ted Cruz!
