John, we are so happy to report some great news!
The Fairness Act has finally passed the PA House, bringing our state one step closer to prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity or expression.
The bill was first introduced 22 years ago. Its passage at long last — and the near-total Republican opposition to it even today — is a reminder of the importance of elections and continuing our progress to expand the electorate and mobilizing voters to vote their values.
This is a HUGE step in the right direction for our Commonwealth, but the fight is far from over. In just ten days, we have another special election that will determine the majority of the PA House. Will you pitch in $10 right now to help us keep up the fight for all our rights and get out the vote?

The New Pennsylvania Project was founded in May 2021 to expand Pennsylvania’s electorate, so it reflects the Commonwealth’s demographically changing population. In the next four years, NPP will engage and empower young residents and those living in underrepresented immigrant communities and communities of color. We register communities to vote, provide civic education about the issues that matter in their neighborhoods, and mobilize Pennsylvanians to vote in every election.
