Hi team, I’ll come right out and say it: I know that we send you a lot of emails asking for contributions to our campaign.

Fundraising may not be my favorite part of the job – in fact, it might be my least favorite – but it’s a vital part of running for office.

It’s how we pay our hardworking team a fair wage, keep our supporters in the loop, and rebuild our campaign after a demanding election cycle.

Grassroots fundraising is especially critical here in battleground Nevada to give Democrats a fighting chance against the formidable GOP money machine.

So, I could never ask you for a contribution again, but I’d be speedily replaced by an anti-choice, anti-education, anti-union Republican who would steamroll all of the progress we’ve made for Nevadans.

Though it’s not my favorite thing to ask for contributions, I wouldn’t be here without this generous grassroots team. So, if you can, will you consider pitching in just $25 to our re-election campaign?
