Last week, Ted Cruz took to Twitter to share his thoughts on smoking:

As it turns out, Cruz is in favor of everyone making their own “damn choice” about whether or not they smoke cigarettes.

While he may have failed to see the irony here, his followers did not.

Because while Cruz is apparently on board with people making their own decisions about smoking cigarettes, Texas voters know that he’s supported legislation that takes away their choices on all sorts of other issues: the fundamental right to an abortion, for example, or the right to read certain books at school.

Here’s the good news, though: Soon enough, those voters will get to make a choice of their own: Voting Ted Cruz out of office.
