National Small Business Week gives us a chance to recognize and celebrate the small businesses that are the backbone of our economy — which is especially true in Maine, where 99% of businesses are small businesses!
Fighting for Maine’s small businesses is personal to Jared. His parents own and run a small business that has been in the family for decades, and Jared spent many summers and weekends growing up mowing grass at the family business. He knows that our small businesses are more than just the economy here in Maine, they’re our way of life.
Knowing first hand how critical small businesses are to Maine, in Congress Jared is a proud small business advocate. His work on the Small Business Development Centers Improvement Act of 2022 and the Disaster Assistance for Rural Small Businesses Act are just two examples of the ways Jared is fighting to keep small businesses strong.
