Dear AFGE Family,
May 6-12 marks National Nurses Week, and our union is so privileged to represent more than 50,000 nurses within the Department of Veterans Affairs, Defense Health Agency, Bureau of Prisons, and others. AFGE is proud to have played a major role in uplifting the voices of AFGE nurses and raising awareness of their contributions in our society.
Whether at a hospital, a nursing care facility, or other health care facilities, nurses are instrumental in our country’s health care system and public health, which has never been truer than during the pandemic. This year we continue to celebrate and uplift the voices of our nurses.

We also welcome you to watch this video greeting from AFGE National President Everett Kelley in celebration of National Nurses Week.
Nurses provide vital services to the American people on a daily basis, and we are so grateful that you all are a part of our union.
In Solidarity,
AFGE
