We must summon the will and the courage to save lives Dear john, Once again, a community in America is reeling from senseless gun violence, and a family is mourning the loss of a loved one. This week, a young woman was killed and 4 more were injured in a shooting in Midtown Atlanta. The American people are crying out for gun safety regulation that saves lives. As so many of my friends and colleagues have said, we do not have to live like this. We have the power to change laws that keep guns out of the hands of individuals who should not have access to them. I will continue my fight to save lives so that more mothers do not have to suffer the pain of losing a child to gun violence; so that our communities can remain safe, healthy, and whole. Oak Street serves Medicare recipients, and their programming and care model is tailored for seniors. I was so pleased to learn about the many services that they provide to residents in our community. Pictured above: Rep. McBath meets with Oak Street leadership This week, I was pleased to welcome officials from Gwinnett County, Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG), and the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) to discuss federal priorities in Gwinnett for the year ahead. I was pleased to share the many ways in which my office can be a resource and a hub to the many services our federal government provides, and I look forward to continuing my partnership in service to the residents of Gwinnett.
