Last night, North Carolina Republicans passed a 12-week abortion ban, and now it’s on its way to the Governor’s desk. 

Governor Roy Cooper promised to veto the bill, but Republicans currently hold a supermajority in the state. 

HOWEVER, it’s not yet clear whether Republicans will be able to get the votes to override the veto. They cannot afford to have a single member fall out of line. Governor Cooper is calling on all of us to apply pressure on the North Carolina Republicans to prevent them from overriding his veto.
