Stopping the Chaos at our Border

President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas' policies have created a national security and humanitarian crisis at our southern border. And with Title 42 expiring in just six days, the chaos is only going to get worse.

Thankfully, Republicans have a plan — the Secure the Border Act of 2023. This bill will resume border wall construction, upgrade technology, and provide the funding necessary to hire and retain quality border patrol agents. As chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, I also worked to ensure the bill will bring back Remain in Mexico, a successful Trump-era policy that kept immigrants in Mexico while awaiting their asylum cases. It's time President Biden and Congressional Democrats supported this practical, comprehensive plan.
