Combatting the climate crisis is best done by creating jobs and making an American-made economy that supercharges new industries and protects our children’s future. This week, I spoke at Rowan University to discuss how federal investments from the Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law are doing exactly that.

South Jersey's American Made Clean Energy Future

South Jersey is paving the way for an American Made clean energy future that’s creating good paying jobs. From the wind monopile plant in Paulsboro to the Alloway Wind port, our region is becoming an international leader in the offshore wind energy industry and creating thousands of jobs. Additionally, I was proud to secure $500,000 for Rowan University to train students in wind energy jobs and find cutting-edge ways to use our carbon-free natural resources for good.

And we’re just getting started. The Inflation Reduction Act is projected to create nine million jobs over the next 10 years and help us reach our climate goals. I will continue to make sure South Jersey gets its fair share of this historic legislation so that our local economies have a say.
