Thursday, January 23, marked the third anniversary of Trump’s Global Gag Rule, and Population Connection Action Fund's #Fight4HER team was working hard to make sure it’s the last!

In Manchester, NH, we unfurled a banner on the steps of the Capitol. In Tempe, AZ, and Columbus, OH, activists staged performative “die-ins” to highlight the impact of denying care. In Denver, CO, we remembered the lives lost to unsafe abortion around the world with a candlelight vigil.

In Elk Grove, CA, we met with Congressman Ami Bera, and had him film a brief video talking about his commitment to ending the Global Gag Rule. In Las Vegas, NV, volunteers wrote letters to the editor of newspapers throughout the state.

 
We braved the cold to protest outside of Senator Rob Portman’s office in Columbus, OH, and made noise at a Honk-A-Thon protest against Senator Pat Toomey in Allentown, PA. In Chapel Hill, NC, we actively engaged community members, and more than 200 people called on Senator Thom Tillis and Senator Richard Burr to repeal Trump’s Global Gag Rule.
