CELEBRATING 10 YEARS
President George W. Bush surprised members of SMU’s student veteran groups in the Oval Office replica during their tour of the George W. Bush Presidential Museum. The visit occurred as the Bush Center celebrated its 10-year anniversary this week. President Bush expressed his gratitude for the U.S. military service of the students, many of whom are at SMU through the GI Bill, before taking questions from and photos with them.

In an op-ed for The Dallas Morning News, Ken Hersh, President and CEO of the Bush Center, and Dr. R. Gerald Turner, President of SMU, wrote about the strong relationship between the Bush Center and the university. The two institutions have together enriched the North Texas community and Nation for more than a decade.
