Yesterday, I hosted a tele-town hall with several thousand constituents. I provided updates on district events, the invasion at the southern border, the debt ceiling, and much more. I also answered a wide range of questions from constituents.
I’d like to thank all who joined me last night. It is always a pleasure to hear from you all and respond to your insightful questions.

“Backing the Blue” in New Congressional Resolution
With National Police Week approaching next week, I, along with Congressman Ken Buck (R-CO), introduced a congressional resolution today that formally expresses support for state and local law enforcement officers amid a period where radical Leftists seek to defund, dismantle, and disparage them.
We must ‘back the blue’ now more than ever. Crime is surging across our cities in virtually every major statistic. These heroes are the only ones putting themselves in harm’s way to uphold our rule of law and ensure public safety.
These courageous men and women volunteer to keep our communities safer every day. At the very least, they deserve our gratitude and respect.
It’s unconscionable to see pro-crime Democrats attempt to restrict, and in many cases, abolish our law enforcement agencies. That’s something you see in authoritarian regimes—not in the United States—and always results in communities being less safe.
I cannot overstate my appreciation for our nation’s law enforcement and will continue to exercise every tool I have to ‘back the blue.’
The resolution may be read here.
Community Outreach
My office met with veterans at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park & Funeral Care.
My office also worked together with Veterans Affinity to honor homebound Vietnam Veteran Army Veteran Art O’Hagan with a Vietnam War commemorative pin. While in the military, Mr. O’Hagan served as a corpsman and was instrumental in saving the lives of many soldiers suffering from PTSD.
I cannot overstate my gratitude and respect for our nation’s veterans. These are heroes who sacrificed their lives for our freedoms today. I will continue to advocate for veterans’ rights at the congressional level and always have their back.
Meeting with the City of Apache Junction
I met with Mayor Chip Wilson and his team from the City of Apache Junction.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to work with our local partners in making our East Valley communities the best place to live in Arizona.

Tweet of the Week
Op-Eds of the Week
I wrote two opinion editorials explaining why I opposed House Leadership’s debt ceiling legislation titled the Limit, Save, Grow Act. This legislation would raise the debt ceiling by $1.5 trillion or through March 31, 2024, whichever comes first, while failing to address or reduce our $31.4 trillion national debt.
We owe the American people and our future generations sound and responsible fiscal policy. Increasing the national debt to “only” $47 trillion over ten years – an increase of over $14 trillion from today – is misguided and perpetuates Washington’s spending problem.
