Team, did you catch my speech last night? I gave the official Democratic response to the State of the Union, and I took the opportunity to highlight the fact that while Republicans are talking the talk, Democrats in Michigan and around the country are walking the walk.

From statehouses to governorships to the halls of Congress, Democrats are getting things done for the American people. And with your help, we can do even more.

I flipped Michigan blue in 2018 by focusing on the issues voters care about - healthcare, infrastructure, and an economy that works. NAME, No matter what Donald Trump says, I know one thing for certain: Democrats can accomplish anything when we come together and put in the work.

Across the country, Democratic governors and Democratic legislators are expanding access to health care, funding quality public education, and finding solutions to fix our nation’s crumbling infrastructure - how we #FTDR, or as we say in Michigan: fix the damn roads!

I’m proud of the work Democrats in Congress have done to make sure there’s a check on Donald Trump. And in states across the country, it’s clear that Democratic governors are the strongest line of defense against the harmful Trump agenda.


NBC released a new poll showing 46% of people approve of the job Donald Trump is doing. Following the State of the Union, the DGA is conducting its own Trump Approval poll to test these results – but we haven’t heard from you.
