Joe Manchin – a wealthy coal baron deep in
the pocket of special interests and a grown man who lives on a yacht –
refuses to let his dirty deal to expand fossil fuel extraction die.

Even though Our Revolution has killed Manchin’s bill 3 times, he’s brought
it back again because he would likely personally profit if it’s passed.

This bill is an environmental justice disaster that fast-tracks fossil
fuel projects like the Mountain Valley Pipeline at the expense of
frontline communities. It would also shorten timelines for public input of
permit applications under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and
the Clean Water Act (CWA).

NEPA is a bedrock environmental law that helps ensure federal agencies
fully assess the effects of proposed actions on people and the
environment.

And, now, on the urging of 2016 Hillary Clinton Campaign Chair John
Podesta, President Biden is supporting Manchin’s dirty deal to speed up
the climate crisis — and all this just after approving the disastrous
Willow Project in Alaska.
