John,
In case you didn’t hear, a serious landslide in San Clemente recently forced the shutdown of the coastal rail corridor in CA-49. This is the third time in two years something like this has happened, and it highlights the need to relocate the parts of our corridor that are most at risk.
As Mike told KCAL news, When our coastal rail corridor shuts down, it hurts the entire 49th District. The economic ripple effects end up costing millions of dollars, even if the railroad only shuts down for a short time.
Mike knows that public transportation provides the indispensable service of getting people where they need to go – not to mention it’s also a key player in addressing climate change.
We need to protect our railroad corridor for the long-term.
John: will you chip in $3 or whatever you can to help keep Mike in office for another term so he can continue to push for the stability of our rail corridor?
Thank you,
Team Levin
