Great news. Two of my resolutions passed the U.S. Senate this week!

I was proud to cosponsor and help pass U.S. Senator Roger Marshall's (R-KS) resolution to strike down the Biden administration's listing of the Lesser Prairie-Chicken (LPC) as 'endangered' under the Endangered Species Act. This listing will do nothing but jeopardize our farmers, ranchers, and domestic producers.

Oklahoma has successfully conserved the habitat areas and increased the population of the LPC for over 20 years without one-size-fits-all regulation from the federal government. Click here to read more.

In addition, I joined U.S. Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) in introducing a bipartisan resolution to support American solar manufacturers and to hold the Chinese Communist Party accountable for breaking American trade laws and using slave and child labor to produce these products. This resolution rescinds a recent Commerce Department rule which allowed Chinese solar manufacturers to circumvent U.S. tariffs by delivering their products to the U.S. through third-party countries, hurting American companies and workers. Click here for the full text of the resolution.

Our educators in Oklahoma are doing an incredible job teaching and supporting the next generation. Meeting with students is one of the highlights of my job as your U.S. Senator, and I was grateful this week to meet with students, parents, and faculty from both Pryor Public Schools and Rejoice Christian School. We spoke about leadership, accountability, hard work, and the importance of setting good habits to achieve success. It was a blast answering their questions.

Title 42 is the strongest tool available to deter illegal immigration into the country, and it expires in six days. With over six million illegal migrant encounters at our southern border, including nearly a million "gotaways" since Joe Biden took office, our country cannot handle a further influx of migrants. I joined Fox Business this week to discuss the dangers of Biden's open border policies and what the consequences might look like once Title 42 expires. Click here to watch the full interview.

This week, I joined Rep. Matt Gaetz (FL-01) in introducing the National Stand Your Ground Act of 2023. This bill codifies a “Stand Your Ground” law at the federal level, eliminating any duty to retreat when threatened with violence.

States like Oklahoma and Florida recognize that the use of lethal force may be justified to prevent death or serious bodily harm. Every American should have the right to defend themselves and their loved ones against a threat to personal safety without the duty to retreat. I’m proud to introduce the Stand Your Ground Act in the Senate to codify these commonsense self-defense protections for all law-abiding Americans. Read the Fox News exclusive here.
