George Santos is getting out of hand.

[link removed] [[link removed]]George Santos wants to divide the LGBTQ+ community. He wants to pit lesbian, gay, and bisexual people against our trans community.

This rhetoric is dangerous.

Not only does Santos not understand how harmful this tweet could be for members of the LGBTQ+ community, but how horribly it could impact young people, who are often more vulnerable and susceptible to bullying and hatred by their peers.

His words aim to divide our community when political and physical attacks against transgender and queer Americans are at a high.

As a gay man myself, I’m disgusted that a member of our community would stoop this low. No one should be posting this kind of hateful content, let alone a member of Congress.

So know that as long as I am serving in Congress, I will continue to fight for everyone in the LGBTQ+ community and continue to hold extremists like George Santos accountable on a national level.
