This is our chance to save 6.7 million animals from cages. I’ll match your gift to make it happen.

Here's a personal question. How did you feel when you learned the truth about factory farming?

I still remember when I learned the truth in high school, during a conversation with some friends. It was like someone had suddenly yanked back a curtain, revealing a terrible secret that had been there all along.

I started researching more about factory farms and slaughterhouses. Discovering the fear, the pain, and the intensive confinement that somehow pass for “business-as-usual” in our food system. Gentle chickens peering out from cramped, filthy cages. Entire lives spent trapped in a tiny, dark space. The sheer horror and injustice of it.

The more I learned, the more horrified I became. It’s enough to make anyone feel powerless. Heartbroken. Furious. And I certainly felt that way.

But these days, I find myself feeling something else, too.

Hope.

It’s heartbreaking to think about the lives of animals on factory farms. It’s easier to just look away. But you’re here. You’re taking action. And, like me, I know you refuse to accept this horrific animal cruelty. So, just for a moment, imagine something else with me.

Imagine what it’s like for one chicken to take a step on solid ground, to have space to breathe, and to stretch out her wings for the first time.

One animal’s life is worth fighting for. We’re fighting for 6.7 million.

When I first heard about The Humane League’s goal—saving 6.7 million hens from cruel battery cages—I knew I had to be part of it. Because goals like this cleave away from the factory farming industry’s immense power. Goals like this help create the compassionate world every animal deserves. Goals like this turn our anger, heartbreak, and frustration into hope.

As a long-time donor to THL, I’ve watched them tackle some of the biggest companies in the world to fight the cruelest forms of animal abuse. I’ve seen THL’s strategic, tried-and-true roadmaps that make them such an effective organization. And I know they don’t take this goal lightly.

I believe in this. I believe in us. That’s why I’m matching all gifts until June 30, or until funds run out—and matching all new monthly gifts for the first three months.

I'm personally matching your donation to make sure we can get this done.
Are you with me?

Time and time again, the industry’s proved that they’ll stop at nothing to make a profit. To hide their secrets. And to silence our righteous anger.

Let’s show them what hope can do.
