Will I see you on Monday, John?

I wanted to be sure you saw our invitation to celebrate #FreeThePill Day in DC on May 8!

Join the excitement next Monday at 12:30 p.m. in front of the White House!

Thanks for celebrating with us,

Laila Salaam
DC Organizer, Reproaction

Dear John,

Don’t you think birth control pills should be for sale on the shelf? Free the Pill Day calls for removing barriers to contraceptives, specifically, bringing a birth control pill over the counter. It has continually been an important day in our movement, and this year is no different. On May 8, we will be celebrating the anniversary of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approving the first birth control pill in 1960.

This year’s celebration is extra special, as it marks the beginning of the FDA’s two-day advisory committee meeting to review the first-ever application for an over-the-counter birth control pill!

Join in marking this special day by registering here.

Here are the details:

What: Free the Pill Day Rally
When: Monday, May 8, 2023
Where: Lafayette Square Park (in front of the White House)
Time: 12:30 p.m. ET

Thank you for celebrating with us. See you there!

In solidarity,

Erin, Shireen, Elizabeth, Evonnia, Jacqueline, Jessica, Kieran, Laila, Nataley, Negar, Annie, and the Reproaction team

P.S. After nearly two decades of research, advocacy and partnership, we are now closer than ever to making over-the-counter oral contraceptives a reality. Now is the time to join the movement to #FreeThePill!
