** Thank you, Senator Hawley for doing the work that the media refuses to do. Meeting with donors of your former employer "to discuss "FERC as an opportunity" is a problem. And this is just the tip of the iceberg with Commissioner Clements.

** "But if a business isn’t profitable it isn’t sustainable. The history of electric vehicles goes back more than a century and that history is one of failure tailgating failure. In 1915, the Washington Post declared 'Prices on electric cars will continue to drop until they are within reach of the average family.' Today, 108 years later, Ford and other EV makers are still trying to make that prediction come true."

Biden might be trying to mandate EVs, but EV makers are struggling. Ford's EV revenue was down 27% in the most recent quarter.

(5/2/23) reports: "Ford reported its first-quarter 2023 earnings Tuesday after the bell, and it marks the first time the legacy automaker will break down earnings by its three new business units: Ford Blue for the iconic gas and hybrid vehicles, Ford Model e for electric vehicles and Ford Pro for commercial products and services. The automaker reported revenue of $41.5 billion, storming past Wall Street's expectations of $36 billion, and showing a 20% improvement over the same period last year. Despite Ford’s push to electrify its fleet, that beat was largely driven by commercial, gas-powered and hybrid vehicle sales...Ford is still taking a loss on its EV business, which it often describes as a "startup." The unit brought in $700 million in revenue, a 27% decline from last year, partly attributable to production interruptions of two of Ford’s most popular EVs: the F-150 Lightning pickup and the Mustang Mach-E SUV. Ford said production for the Mach-E was interrupted by 'industrial changes
that will nearly double manufacturing capacity,' which perhaps explains Ford’s most recent price drop on the vehicle. That marks the second time Ford has cut the price on the Mach-E this quarter. The first time was in January and followed similar price cuts from Tesla. Ford aims to sell EVs at a global run rate of 600,000 units by the end of 2023 and more than 2 million by the end of 2026. The automaker will have to build and ship quickly if it wants to meet that goal. Ford only reported 10,866 EV units sold in Q1 this year."
Putting aside all the 1st Amendment issues and demonic overtones, hospitals need to get ready for operating under 100% candlelight once the lights go out in Biden's "net-zero" regime.

Reporting for duty! (To sell the U.S. out!)

(5/4/23) reports: "China has invited special presidential climate envoy John Kerry to visit the country in the “near term” to discuss climate change, despite the ongoing tensions between the U.S. and China, Kerry told Reuters on Wednesday. President Joe Biden has tentatively approved the meeting between Kerry and his Chinese counterpart, Xie Zhenhua, pending China’s ability to demonstrate a plan to reduce methane emissions and take steps to transition away from coal, Kerry told the outlet. Diplomatic relations between the two nations have been fraught in recent months, with China temporarily suspending the two nations’ ongoing climate talks following then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan in August and U.S. Secretary of State postponing a visit to Beijing after a Chinese spy balloon in February reportedly gathered data from U.S. military sites. Kerry said that he had met virtually with Xie 'just a week or two ago,' and he hoped to be able to cooperate without “pointing fingers,'
according to Reuters. He described climate change as a 'free-standing issue' that affected both nations equally, although he expressed concern that China had not “fully embraced” U.N. terminology designed to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius."
