Three quarters of our target seats have now declared. This is turning out to be our most successful election in our 50 year history. Join the Green Party today.

Breakthrough wins are particularly exciting, because once we win in an area, more wins are sure to follow! We've seen the proof of this today. In East Hertfordshire, we gained our first two councillors last year, and today we won 17 more seats - now Greens are the biggest party on the council. And in East Suffolk, two years ago we had councillors in just one ward and today gained another 11 councillors.

Breakthroughs so far today:

💚 South Kesteven - Vanessa Smith, Rhys Baker, Emma Baker and Patsy Ellis ran successful campaigns, all taking seats from the Conservatives

💚 Sevenoaks - 4 Green wins! Congrats to Laura Manston, Manamperi Shani, Mark Lidop and Michael Barker

💚 Harborough - First Greens elected here, Rose Foreman, Lynne Taylor and Darren Woodiwiss all winning seats

💚 Ribble Valley - Malcolm Charles Peplow and Gaye Thomasine McCrum have become the first ever Green councillors here

💚 New Forest - First ever Green elected in New Forest with Neil Millington

💚 Central Bedfordshire - Brilliant result for Susan Clinch

💚 Southend-on-Sea - Congratulations to Richard Longstaff

💚 Erewash - Ann Mills ousted a Conservative councillor

💚 North East Derbyshire - Huge well done to Frank-Adlington Stringer

💚 Havant - Excellent campaign ran by Grainne Rason

💚 Southampton - Katherine Barbour winning following an impressive multi-year project here

💚 Worthing - Clare Hunt with a fantastic win in Goring

💚 Staffordshire Moorlands - New gain in Manifold Ward by Jonathan Kempster
