In this last week of the legislative session, Republican Senators pushed their legislative budgets through.

Earlier this week, Sen. Brad Zaun voted against increasing victim assistance grants to help victims of domestic violence. These funds would have helped give victims to housing options which could keep them in their communities rather than forcing them to travel hundreds of miles to a shelter.

We need to replace Brad Zaun in the Iowa Senate. And we can do it – but only with your help. Can you chip in $15 or more today to help? [[link removed]]

We need leaders in the Iowa Senate who are voting for legislation that will actually help everyday Iowans. Frankly, that is not what we saw from Iowa Republicans this legislative session.
But we have an opportunity to change that next year. We can flip Brad Zaun's seat and others and work to pass better legislation for the people of Iowa.
