Last year in June, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade — effectively taking a right away from Americans for one of the first times in our nation’s history.
Then a few months later in September, Senator Lindsey Graham introduced a 15-week abortion ban in an attempt to further erode this right.
And most recently, a federal judge in Texas attempted to block access to the abortion pill Mifepristone.
And for Tammy, this was particularly difficult, because it’s not just about abortion. It’s about reproductive choice.
When she used in-vitro fertilization (IVF), three of her embryos were non-viable, and her doctors decided to discard those three fertilized eggs. That medical decision now could potentially be considered an act of manslaughter at best and murder at worst for a physician. In fact, the Texas right for life group that wrote the bounty law have said they want every fertilized egg from an IVF procedure to be implanted, even if they are nonviable. Tammy thinks these decisions are best made between a woman and her doctor.
That’s why Tammy has been working tirelessly in the Senate to protect every American’s right to access in vitro fertilization and other assisted reproductive technology (ART).
This issue is important, but the message is simple: every American deserves the right to choose how they build their own family—no matter where they live.
If you agree will you join Tammy today and support the work she is doing in the Senate?
If you are able, chip in to help Tammy continue her work in the Senate protecting our rights to choose how we build our own families.

We’re angry that Republican legislators continue to undermine women’s bodily autonomy fifty years after Roe. But it remains our hope that we can pass legislation that affirms the right to in vitro fertilization and other assisted reproductive technology.
It means so much to know that we have your support. Thank you for joining us in this effort.
