Local elections results 2023

Today's election count is still underway and full results are being updated live on our website and social media as they happen.

This year was Oldham’s first all-out election since May 2004, which meant all 60 seats are being contested.

Three councillors will be elected in every ward, with the results of each vote displayed on our webpage.

You can view the results here

The councillor with the highest number of votes in each ward will serve four years as an elected member, while the councillor with the second highest number of votes will serve three years, and the councillor with the third highest number of votes will serve one year (there are no elections in 2025 so no one serves a two year term).

#CoronationOldham: please post your party pics!

If you’re at a Coronation street party this weekend, or at our fantastic Coronation event tomorrow throughout the town centre, please share a photo on Facebook (Love Oldham), Instagram, or Twitter – and tag us @OldhamCouncil #CoronationOldham.

Tomorrow a big screen will live stream the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and The Queen Consort from 10am outside the Old Town Hall in Oldham town centre.

Followed by an afternoon of the very “Best of British” tribute bands line-up 1pm – 6pm on the Coronation Bandstand stage.

Find out about the Coronation Festival via our webpage

We promise the “Best of British” tribute bands will be a brilliant and varied line-up, so please feel free to tag #CoronationOldham on any videos you post featuring The Threetles, Tania as Amy Winehouse, Queen II, Gladness or Do It Like Dua – A Tribute To Dua Lipa

Thanks, and have a great weekend, whatever you’re planning.
