Hi John,

In Iowa, farming is at the heart of our economy and many of our communities -- that’s not news to anyone.

But in Washington, farmers are far too often left out of the conversation. From trade aid and Renewable Fuel Standard waivers that favor corporations over small farms to failing to make mandatory country-of-origin label requirements on our meat, some of the hardest working people in our country are left high and dry.

Even worse, disastrous trade policies are actively hurting our farmers, at a time when we should be reaching out to help.

J.D. promises to fight tooth and nail for farmers when he’s in Congress. He’ll work with Democrats and Republicans, creating legislation that doesn’t leave millions of farmers behind.

We need a Congress that works for our farmers, listens to their needs, and passes legislation that helps them, not hurts them. Add your name to our petition today!

Take a look at some of the headlines from the past few days:
- The Hill: US Farm Bankruptcies Jumped 20 Percent in 2019 Despite Federal Aid
- Reuters: US Farm Bankruptcies Hit an Eight-Year High: Court Data
- The Wall Street Journal: Crop Prices Dip Despite Trade Deals
- PoliticsUSA: Trump Tells Iowa Farmers to Reelect Him, or their Farms Will Go to Hell

The evidence is here and in the hundreds of stories we hear on the road. At every stop on the campaign trail, J.D. hears from folks who are struggling with crippling debt and looming bankruptcies.

It’s time for a Congress that works for our farmers -- sign our farmer protection petition now.
