Our team is growing! We're hiring ([link removed]) a Policy Coordinator to help us drive policy change to improve the lives of Texas children today for a stronger Texas tomorrow.
Can you help us spread the word?
The Policy Coordinator will provide support to the policy staff, coordinate policy events and meetings, monitor legislative developments, and support the coordination of the Hogg Foundation Mental Health Policy Academy ([link removed]).
This full-time position is designed for individuals who have limited professional, volunteer, or internship experience in these areas; a passion for improving children's lives through public policy; and an interest in developing the skills and experience necessary for higher level policy work in the future.
The position is based in Austin, TX and will require occasional overnight travel.
As you know, Texans Care for Children is a statewide, non-profit, non-partisan, multi-issue children’s advocacy organization based in Austin. We develop policy solutions, produce research and engage Texas community leaders to educate policymakers, the media and the public about what works to improve the well-being of Texas children and families.
