Dear John,

Have you checked your mailbox yet? Election Day is May 16th, and your ballot should have arrived. We need to elect more environmental and social justice champions to create a more inclusive democracy and pass bold climate action. And it all starts by making sure you, your friends, your family, and everyone in our communities know where candidates stand on the issues you care about. We hope the information we’re sharing helps you make your voice heard.

At OLCV, we’ve endorsed the following pro-climate and pro-environment candidates for the upcoming election:
- Ana del Rocío [[link removed]] for the Multnomah County Commission, representing District 3
- Lyndsie Leech [[link removed]] for Eugene City Council, representing Ward 7
- Jodie Barram [[link removed]] for Bend Park & Recreation District Board, Seat #2
- Miles Palacios [[link removed]] for Tualatin Hills Parks & Recreation District, Seat 4
- Tya Ping [[link removed]] for Tualatin Hills Parks & Recreation District, Seat 5

This year is also a big year for school board races. To elect the right leaders shaping the landscape of our future, we need to know where they stand. Though we do not have an endorsement process for school board races, we’ve put together our Environmental Voter Guide [[link removed]]. In the voter guide, you’ll find candidates’ answers to three questions centered on their environmental values and how they plan to advance justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts for our kids.

Whether you plan to vote by mail, in person, or drop your ballot off at a drop box [[link removed]], be sure to check out the answers from candidates in your local school board race [[link removed]].

Happy voting!

Sincerely,
Britney VanCitters
