With 39% of our target seats declared, we are on course for a record breaking result today. We have won 200 seats won so far - with a 100 seat net gain. These results are laying the foundations for General Election breakthroughs where we have renewed confidence that we will be able to add more MPs. 

Just some of our Green wins:

💚 Forest of Dean - won a whopping 15 seats with 1 still to declare - we also won the largest vote share across the District.

💚 East Hertfordshire - In 2015 East Herts was 100% Tory. Today we have gone from 2 to 17 seats so far with 2 still to declare to decide which party will be the biggest on the council.

💚 South Kesteven - 4 Green gains from Conservatives, one of which was the Council Leader in this part of rural Lincolnshire.

💚 South Tyneside - 3 wins here cementing our status as the opposition party

💚 Breakthroughs in Southend-on-Sea, Havant, Worthing and Erewash

💚 Exeter - 2 holds and 1 win from Labour, gone from just one councillor in 2019 to 6 now. Officially the opposition party.

This year we are seeing a Green wave across the country as we take seats from Conservatives and are confirming our status as the opposition party in Councils. We will soon set our sights on the General Election, and we need more members to build on this success today. Will you become a member and help us to convert this success to more Green MPs?
