The 2019 FEC fundraising reports are in, and it paints a pretty stark picture about this race. Here are two big takeaways:

1. Dan Lipinski barely outraised us, bringing in $330,000 compared to our $308,000.

2. Where the money comes from says all you need to know. Our campaign relies primarily on grassroots, individual contributions from people like you -- Dan is more focused on collecting big checks and PAC money.

Let’s break it down a bit more: 94% of the funds we raised came from real people chipping in to build our campaign. Meanwhile, just 1% (about $4,000) of Lipinski’s funds came from folks who gave $200 or less.

In fact, 49% of the money Lipinski raised last quarter came from PACs and outside groups. One Republican-funded organization transferred over $54,000 to Lipinski’s campaign.

Needless to say, we don’t have -- or want -- big Republican organizations sending cash our way. We rely on people like you chipping in what you can when you can.
