As I explore a run for Governor, I want to take a moment to share some examples of the type of leadership I will bring to this important role.

I’ve focused my career standing up for Washingtonians, and over the past ten years as Attorney General, I’ve delivered results that are improving the lives of Washingtonians:

- Winning a federal lawsuit to maintain access to the abortion pill mifepristone, protecting reproductive freedom for Washingtonians
- Led the successful effort to pass a statewide ban on the sale of assault weapons
- Ended the death penalty in Washington State
- Launched a Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and People Task Force
- Successfully blocked more than 50 of Donald Trump’s unlawful and damaging policies from taking effect

As Governor, I will continue fighting for the people of Washington by taking on the big fights — and delivering for our economy, environment, and Washingtonians.

Running for Governor is not a decision I take lightly. This is an important decision because if I run for Governor, I cannot run for re-election as Attorney General. I need to know if we have the momentum to make the important decision to run for Governor.
