Moms Demand Action is Calling |
With mass shootings at a horrifying record pace this year, Moms Demand Action is saying forget the flowers and cards, we want change! They have issued a nationwide call for protests on Mother’s Day Weekend asking Congress to reinstate the ban on assault weapons.
We are listening to the Moms! Join us for sign-making and a march to a Moms rally in Morristown on Saturday, May 13. Meet at Morris County Democratic headquarters (11 Washington St., Morristown) at 9:30 a.m. to make signs. Then at 10:30 a.m., we’ll walk together in solidarity over to the Morristown Town Hall, 200 South St., for the 11 a.m., rally organized by Moms Demand Action. RSVP for pre-rally signmaking. The Primary Election has started! Let’s support all of the Democratic candidates up and down the ballot, from municipal office to state Senate and Assembly.
Vote by Mail (VBM) ballots are being sent out on a rolling basis by the Morris County Clerk’s Office. You can return it via a dropbox or the regular mail. And, you can still request a VBM ballot as long as the application is received by the County Clerk’s Office no later than 7 days prior to the election. Get more information.
Early voting takes place on Friday, June 2, and Saturday, June 3, from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. and on Sunday June 4, from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. View early voting locations. Primary Election Day is Tuesday, June 6. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. - 8 p.m. |

We appreciate everyone who supported our Spring Dinner Celebration last month! It was a Standing Room Only evening with guests from across Morris County. We heard inspiring speeches from Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill, State Democratic Committee Chair LeRoy Jones and the amazing Assemblywoman Mila Jasey. Chairwoman Amalia Duarte and Madison Mayor Bob Conley presented an award to Jasey, who is retiring, for her 24 years of public service.
