Born in Kuwait in 1972, Mohammad Hashim Ghosheh wrote and published his first book about the history of Jerusalem in 1987 when he was a 16-year-old high school student.
Today, Professor Mohammad H. Ghosheh is a renowned historian and architect who has earned the title of the youngest historian in the world according to the Guinness World record. He is the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including the King Faisal International award 2020, making him the first Palestinian scholar to be awarded this prize in Islamic Heritage.
As a prolific author, Professor Ghosheh has published the Encyclopaedia Palestinnica, a 24-volume work considered one of the last century’s most important academic publications on Palestine. He has also authored 80 independent books on Palestine and Jerusalem. Some of his notable works include The Dome of the Rock, The Al-Aqsa Mosque, The Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and Jerusalem Remembered.
Recently, Professor Ghosheh published a new set on Jerusalem in August 2022. The set is one of the most beautiful and luxurious publications about Jerusalem, featuring amazing designs, magnificent photographs and illustrations. The set contains three volumes: The Mosaics of the Dome of the Rock, Treasures of the Aqsa Mosque, Jerusalem Tiles.
He will be sharing his vast knowledge, highlighting his work on a new project titled, Our Palestine, on May 11th at Middle East Books and More.
