“California Dade's plan is a disaster for Texas”
President Trump joins realtors and business leaders in supporting Senate Bill 3, Increasing the Homestead Exemption to $70,000 and $100,000 for homeowners over 65, by Sen. Paul Bettencourt, R-Houston, which cuts billions more dollars for homeowners than the House’s 5% appraisal cap plan that will destroy the real estate market.
I previously expressed concerns that the House was far behind in the passage of bills and a train wreck was coming. The Senate is ready to help, but time is growing short.

Texas Peace Officers’ Memorial Ceremony
On Sunday evening, I spoke at the Texas Peace Officers’ Memorial Ceremony, where we honored the peace officers who lost their lives answering the call to protect our state. There are over 79,000 Texans who wear the uniform and made a commitment to put their lives on the line to protect others. Sunday night, we honored the fallen and remembered 58 officers whose names were added to the wall. We will never forget you.
