*TOPEKA* – To honor Kansas’ public service workforce, Governor Laura Kelly proclaimed May 1-5 as Public Service Recognition Week. Governor Kelly and cabinet secretaries will celebrate the hard work of state employees during visits to offices throughout the week of May 7.
Public Service Recognition Week celebrates teachers, police officers, firefighters, health care professionals, facilities and maintenance workers, and countless others at all levels of government who better Kansans’ quality of life.
“Kansas public service workers are vital to our quality of life,” *Governor Laura Kelly said.* “I am thankful for their dedication to all who live in, work in, or visit Kansas. Your work does not go unnoticed.”
