John, it’s Congressman Dwight Evans.

I have dedicated my life to the cause of urban renewal, working to give a voice to those who too often live in the shadows, the poor and underserved.

One of the biggest obstacles in this fight – by far – is voter suppression. The GOP have attacked our freedom to vote for years — including restricting mail ballot drop boxes, preventing election officials from sending absentee ballots, and disenfranchising voters for the smallest errors.

That’s why I’m asking you to support the New Pennsylvania Project. Their constant, year-round work to empower our Commonwealth’s underserved and historically underrepresented communities to overcome these attacks is vital to rebuilding our communities and defending our democracy. Will you consider pitching in $10 today to help them expand the electorate and protect our voting rights?

Voting is the foundation of our democracy. So long as that foundation is corrupted by unequal access, so too will our society be corrupted with inequality. Economic opportunity, quality education, and safer neighborhoods for everyone all start with fixing that foundation.

The New Pennsylvania Project is working to do just that by registering, engaging, and educating the historically disenfranchised young, immigrant, Black, Indigenous, and other voters of color whose exclusion from the electorate has so tainted our democracy. So I’m asking you, John, to donate $10 right now to help them keep up this work and transform our society. »

The New Pennsylvania Project was founded in May 2021 to expand Pennsylvania’s electorate, so it reflects the Commonwealth’s demographically changing population. In the next four years, NPP will engage and empower young residents and those living in underrepresented immigrant communities and communities of color. We register communities to vote, provide civic education about the issues that matter in their neighborhoods, and mobilize Pennsylvanians to vote in every election.
