Last month, Wisconsin voters resoundingly elected Judge Janet Protasiewicz, a fair-minded justice, to the Wisconsin Supreme Court by a commanding margin. It was an incredibly important victory for our democracy – and I couldn’t be more proud that the fair maps movement helped make it possible.

For more than a decade, Republicans have relied on tactics like gerrymandering and voter suppression to hold on to unearned power in Wisconsin. But the NDR PAC never gave up; instead, they continued working to elect leaders who would fight to give voters a fair shot.

Still, our mission for a fairer, more just, and more equal America is far from complete. Too many politicians are determined to continue eroding our democratic norms, and too many voters are still affected by gerrymandering and attacks on voting rights.
