Show us on social media by using the hashtag #SND2023. We are also very excited because we have learned that Representative Dina Titus (D-NV) will be re-introducing the NURSE Act on May 10, 2023, School Nurse Day! This Act would recognize the critical role of school nurses in providing students access to quality health care so that they are healthy, safe, and ready to learn. This important legislation would fund school nurses based on Title I designation (free and reduced lunch and breakfast) through a grant program from the Department of Education. Here are some other easy ways to spread the word about School Nurse Day 2023: Display this poster at your school to celebrate your school nurse, the leader optimizing student health, safety, and learning.
