<[link removed]> ICYMI…Legislation Introduced to Address Shortage of Technical Service Providers May 4, 2023 In Case You Missed It, on Wednesday, Sen. Mike Braun, Sen. Michael Bennet, and Sen. Roger Marshall, all members of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, introduced legislation to address the shortage of Technical Service Providers (TSPs) who help producers access USDA conservation programs through one-on-one assistance. This bill expands on the framework first envisioned in the 2018 Farm Bill. Sen. Braun is a long-time member of the Roosevelt Conservation Caucus. ConservAmerica participated in the development of the legislation and supports its passage. “America’s farmers and ranchers are important stewards of our nation’s land. Agricultural production accounts for approximately half of U.S. land use and is vital to our communities and our economy,” said ConservAmerica President Jeff Kupfer. “Having greater access to technical assistance providers will improve conservation outcomes and result in better forest management, wildlife protection, and water quality. We applaud Senator Braun, Senator Bennet, Senator Marshall, Representative Baird, and Representative Spanberger for their continued efforts to champion the Nation’s conservation needs.” Click here for the official press release from Sen.
