Friend - It’s no secret that the PowerPAC team is also a group of big-time nerds. And we’re not talking just politically. We’re sports nerds, anime nerds, KPOP nerds, jazz nerds, you name it. So to elevate our nerdiness, we want to take a moment to say, “May the Fourth be with you.” |
And you’re probably scratching your head as to why we – a social justice organization – is celebrating Star Wars day with you. As a galactic tale of good vs. evil, we see similarities between our decades-old fight against Conservative villains and the Rebel Alliance’s (and then the Resistance’s) fight against the Empire. As we continue our fight to make our nation more equitable and inclusive for all, we hold on to hope and courage that the small, scrappy, and underfunded good folks can make a big difference. As Vice Admiral Holdo said, “We are the spark that will light the fire..”
