Last month, I dropped the f bomb. Here’s why:

When I first heard about the innocent lives lost in the elementary school shooting in Nashville, I had one gut response: “Ban these f---ing weapons.”

I know some people may not find it professional or acceptable to use profanity – especially as a member of Congress.

But to that, I say: It’s unacceptable that American children are being murdered by weapons of war in their classrooms.

This was the most normal reaction any parent could have.

Let’s be clear: This is a fight for our lives. This is a fight for our right to live freely and safely in our communities. This is a fight to ensure that our children and families never again have to endure the grief of losing a loved one to gun violence. And this is a fight we must win.

I hope you’ll take a moment to listen to my thoughts on why we need to ban assault weapons, and then, if you’re able, pitch in a few dollars to keep me fighting for gun violence prevention in Congress. >>
