Good news!

It has been announced that the licences to rescue and release grey squirrels have now been extended until December 2019. Natural England are feeling the pressure, and we need to keep this up so that they do not proceed with their plans to revoke the licences at all. 10 August: join anti-shooting campaigners in Bradford

Yorkshire Water is leasing out sections of moorland for grouse shooting. Please join campaigners in Bradford on 10 August, just days before the shooting season opens, to ask Yorkshire Water to pull the plug on grouse shooting. Find out more.

Birds left to swelter in metal cages

The recent heat wave would have brought misery for the breeding pheasants and partridges imprisoned in raised metal cages on game farms.  In June 2018, we recorded temperatures up to 41.2C inside a game bird cage.

Please write to your MP now, demanding a ban on the cages straight away.

We are calling for a ban on racing pregnant mares after poor race horse, Beyondtemptation, and her unborn foal were killed in a horrific fall when racing on a British racecourse.  She was forced to race for a third time in just 17 days whilst pregnant.
