Getting accepted into college is an exciting moment for students, but it becomes even more real once they decide where to enroll for the fall! This is possibly one of the first and most significant steps to realizing a first-generation student's dream of getting a degree and using that education to create a better life for themselves and their families.

Our College Access team took a moment to celebrate the next big step for 12th graders at College Signing Day. We also took 11th graders on our Northern California Overnight College Tour. And earlier in the month, we wrapped up the 3rd annual Career Speaker Series to expose our students to career paths and professionals.

Last week, as a part of our College Success Program , Fulfillment Fund hosted “Picture Your Perfect Career,” featuring one-on-one resume and cover letter reviews and professional headshots , thanks to the support of our generous volunteers. This initiative is part of our effort to bridge the gap between college graduation and obtaining a first job in the career field of their choice.

The Decisions Are In!

On April 28, we celebrated the senior class at the Robert F. Kennedy Community Schools campus. Students shared their college decisions while making memories at our photo booth. Combating Summer Melt

To prevent "summer melt," wherein a recent high school graduate who gains admission to college does not enroll due to various challenges, we host Fulfillment Fund University. This year, our summer bridge initiative is being held on May 20th and is vital to helping students prepare to go to college in the fall.

College Tours Are Back in Person

Our College Access team took fifty 11th graders on a trip to Northern California to visit universities. Fulfillment Fund College Tours allow students to envision themselves as future college-goers.
