Yesterday, Colin Allred announced that he will be running for the U.S. Senate to challenge my colleague, Senator Ted Cruz. 

Ted Cruz is a committed, proven conservative leader for Texas. He has never backed down when it comes to defending Texas families or values, and he won’t start now. 

With record inflation, a crisis at our southern border, and Joe Biden at the top of the ticket, Chuck Schumer and the Democrats are dreaming if they think they’re going to beat Ted Cruz in Texas in 2024.

Here are just a few things Ted has done for Texas families: 

✅ Fought to keep the U.S. out of the UN Arms Treaty, which would have subordinated the Second Amendment rights of American citizens to global interests. 

✅ Proposed a tax plan to dramatically reduce taxes for American families and individuals, simplify the tax code, and spur significant economic growth.

✅ Helped secure more than $224 million in military construction funds to rebuild Texas’ military infrastructure.

✅ Successfully defended the words “under God” in the Texas Pledge of Allegiance and Texas schools’ moment of silence law in federal court.

One thing is clear, John, the senator that Texas needs is the one we have! No one is more committed to defending your values than our friend, Senator Ted Cruz. 

We cannot allow Colin Allred to be successful in his campaign.
