Hi John,
It’s now less than two months until our big 50th anniversary event, and we’d really love you to be there!

As well as international guests including Shalmali Guttal of Focus on the Global South, Daniel Chavez of the Transnational Institute and Christophe Aguiton of our sister
organisation ATTAC France, we’ll be welcoming economist and Green New Deal pioneer Ann Pettifor; Guardian special correspondent Felicity Lawrence; Green MP Caroline Lucas and many more.

** Together we are POWERFUL

Reclaiming our world from corporate control
* When: Saturday 28 March
* Where: Rich Mix, Bethnal Green Road, London E1 6LA ([link removed])

We’ll be discussing some of the most pressing questions of the day: how do we stop a Brexit trade deal with Trump’s USA? If we need ‘system change’ to stop climate change, what does that actually look like? And with the anti-globalisation movement now a quarter of a century old, we’ll be reflecting on the important role of social movements in bringing about change.

Our workshop sessions will also allow participants to get to grips with concepts like the ‘solidarity economy’, and with organising around the UN climate conference in Glasgow in December.

And we've got some great films about citizen struggles against mining and corporate projects in Armenia, Romania and more.

So while we’re still confirming a few more of the details, we can confidently say that this event will be worth travelling for! We’ve put a list of accommodation near the venue on the event page of our website ([link removed]) .

I know a trip to London isn’t possible for anyone, but it would be great if as many of us as possible could get together and celebrate 50 years of fighting for global justice – including with a little party after the event (details tba).

I hope you can make it.
