[[link removed]]We have bad news. We thought monarch populations were starting to recover last
year. But we have some shocking numbers:

The presence of Eastern monarch butterflies in their wintering grounds DROPPED 22% in just the last year!

The monarch butterfly is officially endangered, according to the International
Union for Conservation of Nature. The stakes have never been higher. Monarch butterflies are at risk of dying off; some estimates show population
declines of up to 95% since the 1990s. A key factor? Toxic pesticides like
Bayer-Monsanto's Roundup. Stand up to Bayer-Monsanto and help save the monarchs before it's too late! We
need at least 13 people from your area to make a $27
contribution before midnight tonight if we are going to make a difference for
monarchs and our planet -- take a stand and make your gift today!

Monarchs' migration patterns are unlike any other. They travel around 3,000
miles every year while acting as pollinators along the route. But in the last
few decades, the use of herbicides like Roundup has grown. These chemicals are
decimating the only food monarch caterpillars depend on -- milkweed. Without
milkweed, it is nearly impossible for monarch young to hatch and survive. Yet companies like Bayer-Monsanto continue to mercilessly put profits over
pollinators, people, and the planet.

Friends of the Earth is putting everything we have into protecting our
ecosystems from toxic pesticides, but we need your support to make an impact.

Don't let monarchs be driven to extinction: Donate $27 today to fight for their
future and the planet.

[[link removed]]The monarch butterfly's incredible migration can span hundreds to thousands of
miles over five generations. Yet each generation knows its destination thanks to
an internal "compass" the monarchs follow.

But pesticide companies like Bayer-Monsanto seem to lack a moral compass --
continuing to sell glyphosate, the key ingredient in Roundup, no matter the cost
to our planet and these incredible creatures.

The use of Bayer-Monsanto's Roundup has increased by over 2,600% from 1987 to 2016. This toxic weedkiller has virtually wiped out milkweed --
the only food source for young monarchs -- across the U.S.

And to make matters worse, a recent study highlighted a frightening fact: every
single sample of milkweed collected was contaminated with pesticides -- one-third with levels deadly to monarchs. Young monarchs are hatching on toxic pesticide-riddled milkweed; their first
meal may be their last.

The dangers don't end there, Friend. Glyphosate is listed
as a probable carcinogen. It is also associated with developmental harm in
humans, along with disruption of the gut microbiome, kidney toxicity, and fatty
liver disease. Farmers and homeowners are suing Bayer-Monsanto due to high rates of
non-Hodgkins lymphoma linked to the Roundup they've used on their farms and gardens. Roundup is causing extensive harm that
must be stopped before it's too late.

Help us stand up to Bayer-Monsanto and protect our planet by making your $27
gift today.

[[link removed]]When the greed of companies like Bayer-Monsanto comes at the expense of our
health and our planet, the stakes are too high to wait a minute more to take
action. Young monarchs are hatching on pesticide-riddled milkweed, eating these
plants, and dying off. Meanwhile, monarchs are running out of places to lay
their eggs in the first place. Monarch populations are in freefall -- the time to act is now, while there are
still monarchs left to save.

At Friends of the Earth, we are fighting on every front to save these
pollinators. Friend, we need you by our side as we ramp
up our efforts to save monarchs from extinction and protect our planet.

With each passing day, and as toxic pesticide use grows, we may only get the
rarest glimpses of these beautiful butterflies. Future generations may never
experience the beauty of seeing a monarch on a sunny day. Will you be one of the
13 people in your area today that will help us fight to protect them and our
planet from toxic pesticides?

Help us fight back against corporate greed and the toxic pesticides driving
monarchs toward extinction and wreaking havoc on our planet. Rush your $27 gift
today.
