Our state Supreme Court just cleared the way for partisan redistricting later this year.  ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌  ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌  ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌

John,

Last week, our state Supreme Court ruled - along party lines - that political gerrymandering is no longer against the law in North Carolina.

Previously, our state Supreme Court had held that our state constitution prevents politicians from drawing districts for obvious political gain.

That precedent has now been thrown out, and the effect will be clear: Our Republican-controlled state legislature will have a free hand to redraw our brand new congressional map later this year - and we all know that means.

They’re coming for this seat.

Here’s what I’m going to do: A great job for my constituents. Every day. That doesn’t change.

However, it does mean we have to take preparation seriously.

I’ve sent you three fundraising emails this year. This makes four.

The reason I can keep that number small is because every time I ask, you folks deliver.

My last email was on the debt ceiling. The next email is going to be on the latest developments there, because it’s an issue of massive consequence.

But this email is politely asking for your support, here.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

And to all our supporters, thank you. You’ve been outstanding, and I am genuinely grateful.

Best,

Jeff
