IS IT WORTH IT?
I Hated Senior Superlatives In High School. As A Parent, I Hate Them Even More. ([link removed])

Have you ever stopped and thought — really thought — about senior superlatives in yearbooks? Because when you do, they’re bananas!

Diana Park agrees. In fact, she’s hated them since high school: “I was on the yearbook committee when I was in high school. I loved my journalism classes and I think having students write about their favorite memories and their goals for the future alongside pictures of their adolescent years is a true art form that’s important even in this age of digital everything. But there was one thing I didn’t love: senior superlatives.”

And her argument against the practice is really, really convincing, too. (And not just because I still think my high school graduating class should have awarded me “best truck,” either.)

Welcome To Motherhood, Here Are The Mom Group Rules ([link removed])

“I’ve been blessed with a stellar group of mom friends ([link removed]) ,” writes Christina Crawford today. “They’re my fellow buddies in the trenches who are laughing (and sometimes crying) right along with me at the sheer absurdity of motherhood. We celebrate the milestones and mourn the tough stuff together. We are here to lift each other up and offer consummate support and encouragement. But like so many other situations in life, this group works because we have rules.” And she’s laying those rules out for anybody else whose group chat needs some guardrails. (Don’t they all??)
