2023 KCYD Candidate Endorsement Process

Today, our 2023 - 2024 candidate endorsement process is live. Candidates wishing to be considered by KCYD for endorsement must fill out the questionnaire linked here. The questionnaire will also be available on our website along with a FAQ page. Candidates have until May 12th (5/12) at 11:59pm to submit their form. The KCYD executive board will have two virtual endorsement meetings on Thursday, May 18th and Thursday, May 25th at 6:00pm. All active KCYD members are invited to join and vote on their preferred candidates for endorsement. If you aren’t an active KCYD member, visit the link here to get that squared away. We will notify candidates of their endorsement status within 24 hours of their scheduled endorsement meeting date. This is a meaningful opportunity to prove to voters you care about creating a prosperous and healthy world for young people to inherit, we look forward to reviewing your submission!

Joint YDWA/KCYD Meeting

What’s better than one group of young, politically engaged young people meeting? Two groups of young, politically engaged young people meeting! The Young Democrats of Washington and King County Young Democrats met up for a joint happy hour get-together at Rachel’s Ginger Beer in Seattle, and it was a raging success. Everyone met new people, allowing all of us to make new friends in the political arena and simultaneously network at the same time. We look  forward to seeing you at the next event!

An opportunity for KCYD members to voice their opinions for candidates they’re passionate about in this election cycle. A zoom link will be sent out to all members a few days before each meeting.

YDWA Convention (Spokane, WA) - Friday, May 19th to Sunday, May 21st

Every year the chapters of the Young Democrats of Washington gather for Convention. YDWA offers a schedule of events jam-packed with workshops, panels, and info sessions. Attendees also have fun getting to hang out for the weekend, and enjoy hearing speakers from throughout the political world!

YDA Convention (Las Vegas, NV) - Sunday, June 18th to Wednesday, June 21st

The Young Democrats of Washington are excited to be going to Las Vegas for the 2023 Young Democrats of America National Convention from June 18-21, 2023. The host hotel will be the MGM Grand right in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip.
