• SB 4, Affordable Housing on Faith Lands Act (Wiener)
• SB 423, Streamlined Housing Approvals: Multifamily Housing Developments (Wiener, Wicks, Hurtado, Grayson)
• AB 572, Capping HOA Fees for BMR units (Haney)

Help Get These Bills Passed into Law!  Help us get these bills to the finish line by submitting an organizational support letter to the California Legislature.

• Strategies to Successfully Implement Supplier Diversity Goals, Tuesday, May 9, 10AM-12:30PM PT Join us alongside the Southern California Association of Non-Profit Housing (SCANPH) for a webinar that will explore industry implementation of AB 2873, new legislation that seeks to address historic inequities and underrepresentation of disadvantaged contractors/businesses in the construction trades and affordable housing development industry. We’ll discuss the availability of services to support adherence to new requirements and deliberate the challenges and opportunities for the capturing of such data.
   
• Resident Services: Introduction to Trauma Informed Care, Friday, June 9, 10-11:30AM PT This interactive training, designed especially for resident services staff, will define trauma, recognize its prevalence,  and provide practical guidance on how to implement the principles of Trauma Informed Care.

The Emerging Leaders Peer Network (ELPN) is a platform for growth, achievement, and opportunity among a cohort of burgeoning affordable housing practitioners. Upcoming events include:

• Breakfast with the Boss Series, Monday, May 22, 8:00AM through Friday, May 26, 9:00AM PT Join an intimate roundtable opportunity featuring an inspiring Bay Area affordable housing leader as they discuss their career and take on our industry.

• Finance for Affordable Housing Closings: What Lenders and Investors Need to Underwrite Your Project and Close Without a Hitch, Thursday, June 8, 12-2PM PT This training is designed for early and mid-career affordable housing developers, investors, and lenders to learn from experienced professionals on what makes for a smooth financial closing process and how to address challenges that may arise.
